Sierra Vista's non-public school accepts
children certified as emotionally disturbed who qualify
for this level of educational placement. Children
from the community as well as our Residential Program
receive education and mental health services in an
environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional
growth.

The program provides full academic assessment,
specialized curriculum for learning disabilities,
vocational education, crisis intervention, an activity
program, and family counseling.
Instruction is designed to fit the individual needs
of each student, kindergarten through eighth grade.
Social skills training, art, music, drama, camping
trips and community outings are some of the self-esteem
building activities of the school program.
Students qualifying for specialty mental health
services receive counseling and case management
from clinical staff under the supervision of a
Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
The coordination between residential services and
non-public school services provides consistent therapeutic
programming that allows the quickest possible move
to a less restrictive environment. |
